At the inaugural Australian Arab Women’s Dialogue, Manal Elattir, WLW 2011 alumni was invited to speak about the challenges young women face in Morocco. Manal is the founder and managing director of Anarouz, a social enterprise created to empower women and alleviate poverty through entrepreneurship and market access.
On Earth Day, GWLN salutes women leaders like WLW 2011 alumni Diti Mookherjee who started the Green Rhinos program to teach global youth how to become advocates for nature conservation. In West Bengal, Green Rhinos are lighting up villages with solar lamps, a renewable source of energy, so they can study at night.
